In recent years, the environment surrounding tourism has undergone significant changes, including a shortage of labor. It is important to involve stakeholders from various industries, such as agriculture, forestry, fishing, and education, in addition to traditional tourism businesses, and to build a system for a council that can be the core of town development. By uniting the entire region and unifying its direction, sustainable tourism management can be achieved.

To this end, the Hida-Osaka Tourism Town Development Plan has been formulated to provide a medium- to long-term vision for promoting regional revitalization based on tourism that is more responsive to current social conditions and changing needs.
